The North East’s favourite guitar player

As a Multi-genre guitar player, composer, writer & Music Therapist over a career spanning two decades, Tim might be the textbook definition of an all-rounder. Classically trained and with a lifelong love of rhythm & blues, his work as a performer and composer spans a wide range of musical styles.

Based in the North of England, Tim’s guitar playing has taken him across the UK & Europe, from accompanying emerging singer songwriters and supporting established bands on tour. He is known for his solo arrangements of classical, folk, jazz and popular music pieces, and remains an in-demand performer for studio recording work, as well as live performances from concerts and churches to festivals and theatre pits.

Falling into bass guitar “more by chance than design”, Tim quickly became the go-to man for low end with the popular Latin and World Music acts, such as Soznak, Geordie Latinos and RumbaNE, alongside his regular work as a guitarist.

Tim has performed and recorded on electric, acoustic, classical and 12-string guitars, as well as ukulele and lap steel (see & hear examples of Tim’s work on his media page). His current projects include sessions work with popular artists, writing & performing with afro-inspired funk band Solcade, a series of classical crossover pieces for solo guitar and a new commission for string quartet. Stay tuned for updates…
